tinkertown day....and into the nite.

So base, I went to Tinkertown to kick it for my other mother's b-day with my bestie Em and her friend ( who became my friend:Matthew) and her other friend Chris and got tossed off Gruet Demi Sec and Margartias. It was bleepin hot out and I got a heat rash. I'm so sensitive to the outdoors. We had a blast though. Around 530pmish we headed back to theBURQs and tried takin a nap but instead watched fine ass Andrew McCarthy in Mannequin gushed over Kim Cattrall's abs and ate pizza from DiVinci's which was rad but they messed up our order. Later we headed to Effex...which I had never been to...first time it was Matthew's b-day so we went there. I saw that one skeezy dude who's always creepin on me everytime I see him (he not only has a gf but he has a child as well and is never upfront about any of it) and I do not like it at all and have kicked him before at anodyne on an occasion I can recall vividly; dude just bothers me.....but don't get me wrong It was such a fun time ran into Orin all broken which was so cool I was like SHIT SON there's my winter ball date from my jr. year....I think Orin is one of the coolest people I've ever met. Hands down. Dude is real with it. Everytime we meet up its a good thing. Hey man, we really should kick it more often. Love me some O.Pope time. and yes I'm gonna put those pics on this blog and on my tumblr baby boyyyy <3. I don't wanna brag or nothing...well gosh actually I'm totally gonna gloat in it. One day I'm gonna make a significant other fricken so happy they will not know what to do with themselves. I am a great little chef and have no problem cooking naked. I can cook a mean meal for any diet; serio. You like new mexican, mexican, greek, chinese,japanese,american,whatever cuisine I can do it big son. You're a vegan I got it on lock... or even just a vegetarian I do it so harsh in the kitchen people freak the FUCK out. One time I made this kid a sandwich and he was like,"what the fuck is this sammy its sooooo damn good," he calls me to this day to make him those sandwiches. I'm just always so proud whenever I finish in the kitchen because everyone walks away happy, full, and beyond satisfied which makes me feel super good about myself.  Anyways; I made some food today(you wish you could smell my kitchen) and took some pictures of the process. Some of these pics are from cooking today some of them are just from the past week and my being so self absorbed just like you...and you...oh and you over there pretending to be too cool to read my shit... So here's a photo essay of my meal and a couple days/the week beforehand.


Earlier Last week my friend and I were very drunk off this shit:

My friend broke a glass and chard's were everywhere including his foot. That was a good time. His house is full of awesome stuff to get lost in. He may or may not be a border line hoarder. I'm into it big time.

I went to taos and captured the sun. It looks super rad. Feast your eyes on what god would look like if god peeked over the clouds and winked at you, I mean if that type of thing existed.

This is  The.BURLMASTER( yes that's the way its spelt on his papers). He is the craziest, coolest, punk as fuck pup I've ever known. Love my pup. He loves listening to me play the piano and killing birds he likes to dance and get his teeth brushed. He needs a girlfriend...he has an unhealthy relationship with his puppy bed and humps the daylights out of it then tries ripping it to shreds.I adore him. If u met him you'd love him too.

These are pics of me because no blog of a young woman is complete without pictures of herself and especially these ones which I happen to love because I am obsessed with the shirt I'm wearing and my glasses make me look cuckoo, crazy,sexy(instead of crazy,sexy,cool like TLC..although cool is something I'm just always exuding because geeezuuus I can't even help it mane.)

Now onto the food. Unfortunately I didn't take pictures of any of the finished products because as soon as I finished I ate it all..well not all I fed a few other people and made fillet Mignon for the meat eaters but was epically good. You get the idea.

So before I get into the b-day extravagance story I'll let you in on these images I shot of my friend Ray and his store Microwave which I really am kinda obsessed with I like them so much. This day was so brutally hot(temp-wise)and Ray may or may not of had a heart condition. Some kid with poorly fitted pants came in and asked if he could trade in a pair of shoes even though he did not buy them here. WTF? who even does that. We laughed at his expense poor kid.

Now on to the events that I vaguely remember that made up my bday. Frances surprised me by taking me on the eve of my birthday to the Radisson(which i just heard is going under) Water Park which was totally totally epic and super fun the only thing was that I forgot my camera which made me sad. While swimming I was starting to feel completely old and irrelevant when a 17yr old asked for my number and told me he would "be seeing me around" I laughed and told him," I'm about to turn 24 you are too young...I cannot give you my digits homie." The kid was persistent though and I just was like, "I think it could be illegal for us to even talk." It sorta made my nite though I mean besides the heady water sliding and splashing around.  I bought my last pack of cigarettes. Got completely lifted from doing our trademark waterfalls that I passed out on the sleep number beds harshcore watching father of the bride 2.

On the actual day of my birthday however I really tried to stay relatively sober. I went to a bbq at my gma's and they had like cake and ice cream and a huge spread so The.Keeks and I ate and got our little cousins(they aren't really that little by the way) drunk on rum and coke. I got pretty tossed to the point that things started to become very hazy. I remember The.Keeks suggesting we go smoke a blunt so I believe we went to our friend Robert's to do so and watched some kind of television where I proceeded to down more rum and get belligerent I suppose. Frances informs me that I was pretty drunk and being ridic. I don't remember the conversations I had at all quite honestly by this point. I hear we went to Gisela's but I can't really recall that besides the pictures. That's really the only way i'm piecing this together. haha. I guess we drank more at Gizz's house and played with her dog and watched the Hangover because a couple days before that I had seen the Hangover 2 which was funny but not as funny as the first. We left to meet up with people at Anodyne. I vaguely remember taking a shot of Patron and having more rum and coke's I really can't remember Anodyne worth shit so...here are some shots....supposedly I got lost and The.Keeks almost left me but luckily she didn't but I did throw out all my makeup I guess and lost 20 dollars. Don't know how it all really played out but hopefully my friends still love me. Enjoy <3 J.Lightning
